Dr. Robert E. Burky Jr

A practicing surgeon for over 22 years, Dr. Burky has witnessed firsthand, in a variety of institutions, the difficulty which many providers experience while securing isolation gowns. Ties can be long and difficult to secure, especially behind the back. When unsecured, these ties frequently contact surfaces, including floors, and can become contaminated by potential pathogens. The Iso-Belt™ was developed in conjunction with Gibbs Group LLC, in response to a specific clinical problem — that of isolation gown ties making contact with flooring and other contaminated environmental surfaces. The Iso-Belt™ and Iso-Gown were designed, engineered and crafted to provide busy providers a new standard in personal protective equipment. This novel, patent pending technology allows the provider a quick, efficient, and antifomitic method of securing isolation gowns.
